Underneath that ocean and the blooming hibiscus flower was a portrait I started of me and a former lover. 

Petal language of the deep, painted over. 

Our faces now swallowed by waves, choices. 
My subconscious wrote a whole autobiography into the layers of us underneath. 

Broken open 🏵️ swimming deeper, and I sleep. 

The petals spiral outward, rewiring the memory, dreaming a new dream 
softly… the way the tide pulls a name from the sand

Look at it long enough & you can feel the reclamation in my skin

The becoming flower, rooted honey tide 💛
