About this work: 

Pluto’s Jungle was painted prior to my journey into the Amazon rainforest of Peru in 2023. It holds the essence of wild expansion. The reclining woman rests across the jaguar, embodying the process of feminine surrender.

The jaguar prowls without hesitation, guiding initiates through shadow into vision and is deeply honored in Amazonian traditions.

This energy is woven into the piece, carrying the medicine of courage, spiritual sight, and transformation. Of all my works, this one remains especially dear to me.

I want to acknowledge the Shipibo-Conibo, an Indigenous people of the Peruvian Amazon,  for sharing their medicine, their art, and their icaros, their sacred songs, with me. The course of my life, my heart and my consciousness have been touched in the most profound ways.  I will continue to carry and spread the love and wisdom of what I received from them for the rest of my life.
